It is not as complete as Lightroom CC desktop but if you are comfortable storing everything in the cloud and using a web interface on desktop, then it could work. seems to handle the photo and keeps the edits, mobile app can still open these older files and has the edits saved. Lightroom desktop reverts photos to originals
